Pirates of the Mer is the collective term for the collection of rogues and cut throats that roam the Mer, seeking to shake down the merchants of the Western Kingdom and World's Mouth. They are said to gather in Nether's Gate. It is a rising problem for the area and never dealt with satisfactorily by the Western Kingdom due to their foreign focus during the War of the One.
