Forces of Light

The Forces of Light is a term applied by the diverse people on the Tazlure Globe to refer to all "good" gods. It is especially used with reference to Illuminatus, the Father and the Mother as they are traditionally viewed by the people of many races. It contrasts with the Forces of Darkness. This simplified view of the world hides a deeper truth of the divine that eludes many, for all gods encompass both the dark and the light, which provides balance. The Paladin Order of Illuminatus especially have repeatedly caused crusades to be held against any of the Forces of Darkness after the Great Battle and again after the death of Caesar Anochrim, whether they be Dark Arts practitioners, chaos creating gods like Pan or daemon lords. Their actions in this respect cannot always be defined as "good", as they may often lead to harming "innocents" who are seen as misguided, for example.

The followers of the One God Dominicus do not favour the term Forces of Light, as in their view there is only one Force of Light: Dominicus himself. All the other gods, who in this view are not gods at all but either limited aspects of Dominicus or daemons, are thus part of the Forces of Darkness.
