The Hall of Willow specializes in Natural Healing and Herbal Lore. Here, healers from all over the Empire of Seven Isles come to train so that they may serve in their home communities. This Hall serves as a hospital of sorts for extremely ill patients from the surrounding areas. There is also a recent mercantile push as some of the Dort merchants are eager to obtain the rare herbs cultivated within the Abbey for trade.

Location Description

The Hall of Willow in the Abbey is a two storey building; the lower storey is used as a hall for teaching the use of healing herbs and plants, whilst the upper storey is used to house monks learning in this Hall. The upper storey is divided into two halves - one female, one male - divided by the chambers of the Steward of the Hall.

The Hall of Willows is a remarkable place, with polished stone floors and an atmosphere of tranquility. Its ceiling is held up by large wooden beams, made to resemble willows, with strands of foliage trailing down from above. The light within the Hall is a soft, filtered green. The Abbot of the Hall has discarded his seat, for the practise of healing does not require one.

The monks of this Hall wear golden brown robes, the colour of autumn leaves.

Here monks are taught the uses and benefits of the many plants that grow in the estate grounds and gardens; how they can be used for benefit... or bane.

Leading off from this hall are two locations:

The monks will treat the injured or infirm for free.
