Hall of Rowan
The Hall of Rowan specializes in Wyrd and Magickal training. Here, the rare gifts of magick are studied and developed so that they may be used responsibly - without disturbing the balance of Nature. As the defenders of the Abbey, the monks here also learn martial arts and more physical forms of defense.
Location Description
A two storey building; the lower storey is used as a hall for teaching the use of life-force, whilst the upper storey is used to house monks learning in this Hall. The upper storey is divided into two halves - one female, one male - divided by the chambers of the Steward of the Hall.
The Hall of Rowan has an eerie, mystical atmosphere, with runic carvings on the wooden beams that support the ceiling. The wooden panels on the walls are covered with carved rowan withies, loosely woven into an interlaced total. In the centre and in the corners of the Hall stand tall rowan bushes, with it red berries forming a spectacular view. The white marble floors contrast with the red of the rowan berries.
The robes of the monks inside is a deep red.
Here monks are taught how to manipulate Wyrd, to communicate with and harness elements of nature.
